Many industries such as aerospace and automotive routinely use metal additive to make near net shape parts, then finish machine them in 5-axis CNC machining centers. CNC major DMG Mori showed hybrid equipment which combined both technologies in a single machine. DMG Mori Additive Solutions Engineering Manager Alex Richard discusses this technology.
