Kraftwurx unveils 3D printing platform—Digital Factory™

kwlogoKraftwurx announced the Kraftwurx platform, powered by Digital Factory™ from Digital Reality, Inc. 3D Printed commerce technology for your portal or brand.

There are a lot of companies that promise the potential of 3D printing, including Shapeways, Sculpteo, Ponoko, and others, however Kraftwurx developed a platform to make this dreamscape was not only a living, breathing industry, but an entirely new form of manufacturing. The company promises to streamline the process, enabling anyone around the world to turn their ideas into 3D printed products and sell them to the world.

The parent company, Digital Reality, has been quietly working on their platform technology for 3D printed manufacturing called Digital Factory™ since the company was established in early 2006.

“In 2005 we realized that 3D printing had the potential to be the next big thing,” said Chris Norman Kraftwurx CEO. “At the time there was no technology platform available to power 3D printed e-commerce so we set out to develop the technology and make it available to everyone and we called it Digital Factory™.”

Digital Factory™ is essentially a factory-in-a-box white labeled system to power 3D printing websites and custom portals around the world, including major brands. Instead of developing proprietary technology, the platform is universally available…turnkey. It can be used in a number of ways. The platform has a community, a marketplace and helpful information about 3D printing as well as the ability to sign up and drive commerce on your own website domain. Digital Reality, the software wing of Kraftwurx also offers consulting and custom tailoring of their solution to meet your needs.

The company currently offers about seventy 3D print materials through a global network of more than 110 production facilities located on every major continent.
