Keystone and Henkel launch new 3D dental modeling resin

Keystone Industries (Keystone) and Henkel have developed KeyModel Ultra, a 3D dental modeling resin, that the companies claim offers a new level of accuracy, detail, and speed. The resin is formulated for rapid printing and fast post-curing and is also designed to reduce peel forces.

KeyModel Ultra does not require release agents for thermoforming aligners and other devices. Its detail ensures that all thermoformed devices fit perfectly, and it can be carved without chipping to adjust the model when needed. It is available in ivory and light grey.

Said Doug Statham, Senior Director of Digital Materials at Keystone, “As model printing for clear aligner is the number one application in dental, our teams developed a material that offers an integrated release agent, making vacuum-formed aligners easier to remove than with other materials and improving the workflow.”
