Kubotek3D releases V15.5 of its CAD software products.
Kubotek3D has released the latest versions of its lineup of CAD products, including the KeyCreator direct 3D modeling platform, the Kubotek Validation Tool, and the Spectrum CAD Viewer. Version 15.5 sees updates that include productivity enhancements, new CAD translation capabilities, login authentication, and the bifurcation of the Spectrum CAD Viewer into a free and paid version.
The KeyCreator 2017 V15.5 release adds three drawing productivity improvements:
- Expanded multiprocessor support in the Advanced Precise Hidden Line Rendering system
- Enhanced Move function that allows quick repositioning of leader lines
- A new function for changing dimension arrowhead types
Across all Kubotek3D software, support has been added for the latest major CAD formats:
- ACIS SAT 2018 1.0
- Autodesk Inventor 2018
- Parasolid X_T v30
- PTC Creo 4.0
- Siemens NX 12
- SOLIDWORKS 2018
Also new to the V15.5 release is login authentication, which allows users with stand-alone licenses on active maintenance to use a program login for license authentication. This feature should make it easier for customers to use their licenses across multiple PCs.
“Login authentication will provide additional licensing flexibility for customers working on PCs with Internet connections,” said Kubotek3D’s Chris Boivin. “The remote logout feature also allows customers to more quickly recover from situations when a PC running the software is lost or disabled.”
Finally, Kubotek’s Spectrum CAD Viewer will be separated into two products: the free KeyCreator Viewer, which provides read-only access to KeyCreator files; and Spectrum Multi-CAD Viewer, which allows users to view and perform measurements on CAD files in a variety of formats.
