Citius Corporation announced that its KBMax configurator supports SolidWorks® 2010 3D CAD software to provide significant increases in both design quality and production efficiency. SolidWorks users can implement KBMax for the automatic creation of 3D Models, BOMs, CAD Drawings, Office Documentation and Price Quotes.
SolidWorks 2010® is focused on optimizing core design functions so users can more quickly and intelligently achieve their goals. It also includes hundreds of new enhancements specifically requested by customers. The new version of SolidWorks improves designers’ and engineers’ productivity with new capabilities like rapid dimensions, enhanced mirrored components, and heads-up mouse gesturing. These capabilities let designers and engineers work smarter and faster while minimizing menu navigation.
Designers and engineers will use KBMax and SolidWorks software to customize rules and constraint functions to rapidly create complex product configurations and all required manufacturing outputs. A Solidworks Solution Partner Product, KBMax gives end users a simple user interface with powerful modeling functionality. The combination of KBMax and Solidworks 2010® allows engineering teams to spend more time on design innovation and less time on CAD software operations.
“Engineers spend precious time on software complexity or the potential problems of jumping between separate applications,” said Nick Iwaskow, Manager, Alliances at Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp. “Combining KBMax’s configurator with SolidWorks® 2010 3D CAD enables engineers to focus on innovation, quality, and efficiency instead of how to use software.”
“KBMax acts like a cumulative product knowledge store where subsequent engineer inputs advance design while streamlining production,” said Citius Chief Technical Officer Kevin Bennett. “We are excited for SolidWorks users to experience the benefits of our software.”
