Summary
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities at the chemical plant. This includes planning, coordinating, and executing preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and efficiency of plant operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a chemical plant environment, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • The Maintenance Manager will develop and implement maintenance schedules for all plant equipment and systems. Ensure timely and efficient completion of all maintenance tasks, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor the maintenance team, including technicians and support staff. Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies. Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Prepare and manage the maintenance department budget. Optimize maintenance costs through effective resource allocation and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and potential issues. Implement reliability improvement programs to minimize downtime and enhance equipment longevity.
  • Oversee the inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies. Ensure critical spare parts are available to minimize downtime during repairs.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services. Evaluate vendor performance and negotiate service agreements.
  • Lead initiatives to improve maintenance processes, enhance equipment reliability, and reduce maintenance costs. Stay updated with industry best practices and technological advancements.
  • Regional candidates preferred.
Requirements
  • The Maintenance Manager will have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in maintenance management within a chemical plant or similar industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical plant equipment and systems, including pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and control systems.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the chemical industry.
  • Proficient in maintenance management software (e.g., CMMS).
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
 
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as OSHA, EPA, and other relevant standards.
