Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking multiple Transportation Technician 3s to join the Tacoma and Fife Project Engineering Offices (PEO). Under the direction of the Transportation Engineer 3, this position serves as a Quality Verification Technician, performing duties in support of construction, design, office support, and is a member of the survey crew when needed. This position is expected to exercise initiative and judgment in independently carrying out assignments according to established policies, procedures, and standards. They will provide essential support in monitoring contractor’s activities during construction and ensuring project work is performed in accordance with contracts. The Quality Verification Technician will independently perform materials sampling, testing and acceptance procedures, and assist project inspectors in performing daily inspection and audits of work performed.
