Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Technician 3 to join the Lacey Project Engineering Office (PEO). Under the direction of the Transportation Engineer 3, this position serves as a Quality Assurance and Quality Verification Technician, performing skilled journey-level technical work in support of engineering projects to include construction, design, and general office support. This position exercises initiative and judgment in independently carrying out assignments according to established policies, procedures, and standards. They will provide essential support in monitoring contractor’s activities during construction and ensuring project work is performed in accordance with contracts. The Quality Assurance & Verification Technician will independently perform materials sampling, testing and acceptance procedures, and assist project inspectors in performing daily inspection and audits of work performed.
