Diesel Technician

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Technician to join our automotive service team in Texas. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines in various automotive and heavy-duty vehicles, including trucks and transport vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic tests on diesel engines to identify issues and malfunctions.
• Conduct repairs and maintenance tasks on diesel engines, including engine overhauls, component replacements, and system repairs.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot engine problems.
• Adhere to manufacturer specifications and industry standards while performing repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of service tasks.
• Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance procedures, and parts inventory.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in diesel engine technology and repair techniques.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or Automotive Mechanic, preferably in a dealership or automotive service center.
• ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification in Diesel Engine Repair (ASE T2) is preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with diesel engines.
• Knowledge of FST (Fuel System Technician) and FSE (Fuel System Engineer) concepts is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
