Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Production Engineer to join our team at our chemical manufacturing plant. The Production Engineer will be responsible for optimizing production processes, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining safety standards. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance productivity and product quality.

Responsibilities:
  • The Production Engineer will analyze existing production processes and identify opportunities for optimization to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase output.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain product quality consistency.
  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all employees and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs for production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Respond to production issues in a timely manner, troubleshoot technical problems, and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of production processes, performance metrics, and safety records. Generate reports to track key performance indicators and identify areas for improvement.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by implementing best practices, incorporating new technologies, and fostering a culture of innovation within the production team.
  • Relocation provided. $100K-$120K.
Qualifications:
 
  • The Production Engineer will have a BS degree in chemical engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing or process engineering.
  • Strong understanding of chemical processes, equipment, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices in chemical manufacturing.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
