Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 3 to oversee the SR 520 Bridge Replacement and HOV Program (SR 520) and the Alaskan Way Viaduct Replacement Program (AWV). These multi-billion-dollar capital construction programs are highly visible, political, controversial, and complex, reporting directly to the Assistant Secretary for Urban Mobility and Access at WSDOT. The largest mega programs in WSDOT, they consist of multiple major projects in various phases of development spanning from SR 1-5 to SR 1-405 on SR 520 and through the City of Seattle from the SODO District to South Lake Union on SR 99 and along Alaskan Way on the Seattle Waterfront. The Transportation Engineer 3 will supervise State Quality Verification inspection and project oversight duties within the Quality Organization of the WSDOT SR 520 Corridor Design-Build Office to ensure compliance with environmental contract requirements and oversee the implementation of a strong Quality Management program by the Design-Builder to meet or exceed contract requirements.
