Job Description:

We are on the lookout for a proficient Electrical Engineer to become part of our energetic team. In this capacity, you will be actively involved in the design, development, and execution of innovative electrical systems for cutting-edge industrial and high-tech manufacturing projects catering to leading technology entities worldwide. The role demands a solid grounding in electrical engineering, with a particular emphasis on low to medium voltage settings. The ideal candidate will have experience in distribution panel loading, short circuit analysis, voltage drop calculations, as well as in determining conduit and conductor sizes, and managing cable tray fills. This opportunity invites you to contribute to shaping pioneering design-build initiatives, emphasizing unwavering dedication to quality, efficiency, and collaborative achievement. This position is an onsite role requiring daily presence at the workplace, based in the N. Phoenix, AZ area. Please note, there are no remote or hybrid working options available for this position.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive technical project documentation, including plans, specifications, drawings, and models that meet both industry norms and client needs.
  • Calculate conduit and conductor sizes with a keen attention to current loads and environmental considerations.
  • Thoroughly evaluate cable tray fills to ensure effective cable management, organization, and scalability.
  • Conduct short circuit analyses to identify fault currents and select appropriate protection devices.
  • Execute detailed voltage drop calculations to maintain electrical system integrity and adherence to industry standards.
  • Enforce strict compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal electrical codes and regulations.
  • Employ standard design methodologies while being flexible in adjusting and refining design concepts when necessary. Maintain high-quality control standards through adherence to organizational and team design and CAD guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Senior Engineers, Project Managers, and other team members on specific tasks, complex challenges, and in developing innovative solutions to unique problems.
  • Promote teamwork, communication, strategy, and support across various teams (Electrical, Structural, Process/Chemical, Architectural, etc.), including coordination with other company divisions to enhance efficiency, quality, and resource management.
 
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, qualifying for licensure in the state of practice.
  • Achievement of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT) is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in AutoCAD is mandatory. Familiarity with other software such as Revit, ETAP, SKM PowerTools, and/or EasyPower will be considered an asset.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical codes and standards (e.g., National Electric Code, NFPA, etc.).
 
Benefits:
  • Salary Range: $68,000 - $98,000/year, variable based on location, education, experience, and relevant certifications.
