We are currently seeking a dedicated Power Generation Assembly Lead to join our team.
Position Overview: As the Power Generation Assembly Lead, you will play a critical role in coordinating the assembly process and ensuring the quality and efficiency of our generator systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in generator assembly, field service, instrumentation, and panels, with a specific focus on internal combustion engines and natural gas-fired engines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the assembly of genset packages according to standard procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues during the assembly process.
- Supervise and train assembly technicians to ensure efficient and accurate work.
- Perform complex electro-mechanical assembly work using hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and machinery.
- Conduct troubleshooting and rework as needed to maintain quality standards.
- Work from detailed manufacturing documentation and instructions to complete tasks according to schedule.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in generator assembly and installation.
- Familiarity with field service operations and troubleshooting preferred.
- Proficiency in instrumentation and control panel assembly.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety.
- Knowledge of internal combustion engines.
- Experience with electrical and instrumentation (I&E) work is a plus.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Mechanical aptitude and electrical/instrumentation knowledge.
- Vocational or high school training in automotive mechanics helpful but not necessary.
- Proficiency in using mechanic hand tools and power hoist.
- Ability to read precision measuring instruments, instruction books, manuals, and assembly drawings.
