Job Description:
Responsibilities
The Electrical Engineer provides technical, troubleshooting and maintenance support to all plants within the area for all Electrical equipment including medium and high voltage substations / switchyards (up to 138KV), low | medium | high voltage switchgear, motor control centers, transformers, motors (up to 40,000HP), distribution systems along with associated protection and support equipment.
Provide day-to-day plant electrical support and assist with the execution of small improvement projects.
Assist with redlining, maintaining, and developing as necessary electrical documentation including single line diagrams, three-line diagrams, elementary diagrams, wiring schematics, layout drawings, interconnect drawings, cable and conduit schedules, panel schedules, & loop sheets.
Routinely review Electrical condition-based vendor data reports and provide recommendations and necessary repair plans for any noted deficiencies to ensure reliable operation (thermography, partial discharge monitoring, PdMA etc.).
Willingness to travel 50% regionally.
Relocation provided. $110K-$140K.
Requirements
The Electrical Engineer will have a BSEE and with at least 5 years in an operational and engineering environment working with electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Knowledgeable and experienced working with installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of substations/switchyards, switchgear, motor control centers, transformers, motors, and distribution systems along with associated protection and support equipment.
Experience working with electrical equipment at a wide range of voltages from 138KVAC down to 24VDC.
Knowledge and experience working with electrical short circuit analysis, relay protection settings & coordination, power quality analysis, high voltage motor starting schemes and analysis, hazardous area classification and lightning protection.
Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
