CEG is seeking a Licensed Electrical Engineer (PE) to support our client in the Columbus, Ohio area. Position Overview:

The Licensed Electrical Engineer will independently manage electrical design tasks while catering to project requirements. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development and completion of responsive electrical engineering designs. This includes overseeing design details, plans, drawings, and reports within your assigned task areas. The core focus of this position centers on ground-up construction projects in healthcare, higher education, and municipal/government projects within the Columbus area, where you will lead the management of electrical design plans, provide approvals for these plans, and effectively manage and coordinate with subcontractors.



Tasks and Responsibilities:

Participate in the creation of bid documents for various projects, such as New Buildings, Existing Building Renovations, Upgrades, Pump Stations, Water and WasteWater Treatment Plant Upgrades, Roadway Lighting, and more.
Proficiently utilize AutoCAD to draft a wide range of electrical construction drawings, encompassing Floor Plans, Site Plans, Equipment Details, and Wiring Diagrams.
Collaborate closely with other engineering disciplines, including Architecture, Mechanical, Structural, and Process Engineering, to ensure a comprehensive and integrated Electrical design.
Conduct on-site visits to assess and document existing conditions accurately.
Analyze both current and projected electrical loads to appropriately size electrical services, feeders, and branch circuits.
Review the Instrumentation, Control, and Remote Monitoring requirements for individual projects, providing assistance in I&C design when necessary.
Maintain a proactive approach in adhering to project schedules and budgets to align with project requirements.
Offer essential data for cost estimation purposes and acquire preliminary equipment costs for review.
Explore innovative methodologies and implement fresh ideas and procedures that could benefit both the Company and clients.
Undertake independent studies and present findings and conclusions in a concise and lucid manner through comprehensive reports.
Demonstrate and apply a proficient understanding of established electrical engineering and instrumentation/control design standards and practices to ensure that design work aligns with client needs and Company standards.


Required Knowledge, Education, and Experience:

Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Hold a valid Professional Engineer (PE) License.
Bring a wealth of Electrical Design experience, which includes a minimum of 5 years functioning as an Electrical Engineer.
Demonstrate a solid grasp of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
