We are currently seeking a Configuration Control Manager to add to our team. The Configuration Control Manager represents the configuration and data management function managing engineering administrative matters. Recommends, interprets, and/or implements configuration management and engineering company and internal administrative policies and procedures. Performs a combination of configuration and data management administrative tasks for the mechanical, electrical, and special test equipment engineering functions as required.

The Configuration Control Manager's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Drafting and managing project Configuration Management Plans.
• Selection and data management of Configuration Items.
• Establishment and management of product baselines (functional, allocated and product).
• Management of the Configuration Control Board.
• Oversight and coordination of the engineering release process.
• Part, assembly and document numbering schema together with part number generation and assignment.
• Interchangeability criteria for parts.
• Development of configuration management standards, procedures, work instructions, training materials and other documentation as required.
• Development of configuration management training for project team members including ongoing guidance and support.
• Creating and managing document types and definition of expected content.
• Ensure a single master template is available for each document type.
• Define document relationships.
• Participating in configuration audits including functional configuration audits (FCA) and physical configuration audits including the associated documentation.
• Providing support to project team members in configuration management processes as the subject matter expert.
• Managing the configuration, update and support of configuration management systems.
• Conducting regular audits of product configuration data and configuration management against standards and procedures and checking for issues such as duplicates, incomplete records, missing documents or approvals while ensuring that corrective action is taken in cases of non-compliance.
• Maintaining and applying knowledge of applicable external regulations and standards in the field of configuration management.
• Establishing and publishing configuration management metrics as required.
• Working with peers across the company to ensure that the local configuration management approach and practices are aligned to corporate processes and standards while meeting customer requirements.
• Undertaking or supporting the implementation of product data into the ERP system as required.
• Managing the archiving of product and design data and data migrations as required.
• Identifying, leading and championing the development of new configuration management approaches, techniques and technologies as well as process and quality improvements and implementing the associated changes to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor's in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in related configuration management, Engineering or related technical discipline
• Candidate must have solid written and verbal skills to effectively interact with other functional organizations.
• Significant knowledge and experience in relation to configuration management standards and data management practices.
• Significant knowledge and experience working with configuration management systems.
• Significant knowledge with SolidWorks PDM with both managing and creating vaults.
• Experience undertaking the configuration manager role during new product development.
• US Citizenship or green card is required.

Desired Skills:

• Working knowledge of EIA-649 or MIL-HDBK-61A
• Working knowledge and understanding of engineering documentation (i.e., models, drawings, specifications, parts, change notices, manufacturing plans, and manufacturing procedures)
• Experience in military, government, commercial aerospace industry (e.g., aviation/equipment maintenance, aircraft operations, or commercial industrial technology companies)
• Experience working with SolidWorks Product Data Management (PDM)
• Experience working in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System (i.e., Deltek, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
