Job Description:

Job Title: Structural Engineer - Building Structures

We are currently seeking a skilled Structural Engineer with at least 4 years of experience in building structures to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our architects, contractors, and clients to design and develop safe, efficient, and innovative building structures that meet the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, analyze, and develop building structures, components, and details, including new construction and renovations.
  • Perform structural calculations, prepare construction documents and drawings, and develop construction specifications and details for building structures.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other design professionals to ensure the structural integrity and functionality of building designs.
  • Review and evaluate contractor's shop drawings, submittals, and construction progress for compliance with design documents and standards.
  • Attend site visits and meetings to inspect construction work, provide recommendations for solutions to construction problems, and coordinate with other project stakeholders.
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and cost estimates for structural engineering services related to building structures.
  • Keep up-to-date with advancements in technology, materials, and design codes and standards related to building structures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in structural design and analysis of building structures.
  • Experience with structural design software, such as ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, or similar programs, specifically related to building structures.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and standards, such as ASCE 7, IBC, and ACI, specifically related to building structures.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Experience with construction administration and on-site inspection of building structures is preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is a plus.
