Your role
My client is seeking a skilled and experienced Wind Turbine Technician with a specialization in generator and gearbox repairs to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wind turbine maintenance, with specific expertise in diagnosing and repairing generator and gearbox components. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge wind turbine technology and contribute to the success of renewable energy projects.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and inspections on wind turbines to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues related to generators and gearboxes, utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment as necessary.
Conduct repairs and replacements of generator and gearbox components, including but not limited to bearings, gears, shafts, and electrical wiring.
Troubleshoot control systems and electrical circuits to identify and resolve issues affecting generator and gearbox functionality.
Perform alignment and balancing procedures on generator and gearbox assemblies to ensure proper operation and minimize wear and tear.
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to procure replacement parts and equipment needed for repairs.
Document maintenance activities, including inspection findings, repair procedures, and parts usage, using company-provided software systems.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and compliance with industry regulations.
Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay current on wind turbine technology advancements and best practices.
Collaborate with fellow technicians and supervisors to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and achieve team goals.
