The Welding Engineer will work with our Engineering and Quality departments to develop welding techniques and procedures to assist our fabrication departments. We are looking for a strong work ethic and a reliable go-getter.  We need a decision maker who likes to be challenged, and can always be counted on to exercise sound judgement.
 
What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline
  • In-depth metalworking knowledge and understanding of basic engineering principals.
  • MIG welding skills
  • Ability to read and understand weldment and assembly drawings and design schematics.
  • Familiarity with machining processes.
  • Problem solving, analytical, researching and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage time with limited guidance.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness in accordance with company safety policies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, including the ability to read, write, and speak English clearly
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening
  • Authorized to work in the United States
 
What you’ll be doing:
  • Improve and maintain the weld quality systems as the relate to design specification, customer requirements and manufacturing’s processes through auditing, inspection, testing and cross functional support
  • Conducts monthly weld cut samples and welding process audits; then shares the information with the appropriate departments for tracking and preventative action for non-conformities
  • Provide direction and leadership to manufacturing, suppliers, and supporting departments regarding process improvements and countermeasure techniques for non-conforming goods and warranty
  • Other duties as assigned
