HIRING: AWS Cloud Infrastructure Engineer/DevOps/Contract / Toronto
 Our client within Banking domain is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with a focus on cloud migration to AWS. As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, ensuring it meets the highest standards of reliability, scalability, and security.
 Key Responsibilities:
•            Perform the infrastructure migration of on-premise Data bases and data architecture infra (Hadoop/Netezza) to AWS.
•            Design and implement AWS cloud infrastructure with focus on scalability, security, and performance
•            Provisioning using IaC (infrastructure as code) AWS services (including AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and AWS Redshift).
•            Apply AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit) for infrastructure as code, ensuring consistent, automated, and reproducible infrastructure provisioning.
•            Strong Python skills
•            Conduct pre-migration assessments, identify potential roadblocks, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure a smooth transition.
•            Monitor system performance post-migration, promptly address any issues, and continuously optimize the environment for improved efficiency.
•            Solid understanding of cloud security best practices, networking, and IAM roles and policies.
•            AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
•            Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Previous experience in the Financial Industry is an asset.
Please note that role is Remote based with 1-Day Onsite in client downtown office.
