Structural Evolution is an award-winning structural engineering consulting firm specializing in the design of cold-formed steel structures, including walls, floor systems, and roof trusses. We are seeking recent or soon-to-be graduates to join our team.

• Intensive training in cold-formed steel design. Our training philosophy is learning by doing; you will produce a completed real project during your first days on the job.
• Proprietary design tools (e.g., spreadsheets, typical details, design manual) to ease the production process.
• Continuing education through professional associations, webinars, and other industry events.

Job Duties:

The Structural Project Engineer is responsible for the detailing and design of a variety of cold-formed steel structures. The engineer will:

• Review project requirements.
• Read and interpret architectural drawings.
• Design cold-formed steel structural packages including CAD drawings and supporting calculations.
• Provide technical support to contractors during construction.
• Perform occasional site observations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in structures
• EIT license
• 0-1 years relevant experience(including internships)
• Ability to write well and to communicate effectively with clients and coworkers
• AutoCAD proficiency
• General computer knowledge

The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. Understanding of the construction industry, as well as how to read plans, is a plus.
