Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) I-405/SR 167 Program is currently seeking an Environmental Compliance Inspector (Transportation Engineer 2) to join our team. In alignment with our mission to provide safe, reliable, and cost-effective transportation options, these positions play a vital role in ensuring environmental compliance. An Environmental Compliance Inspector is responsible for inspecting and verifying that all environmental permits are met, and environmental compliance is satisfied for Design-Build construction projects. This position is responsible for verification inspection of Design-Builder’s activities in the field and compliance documentation activities related to the Contract, permits and environmental and legal requirements. This position is critical in fostering a respectful and healthy work environment with focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
