Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking to fill a Structural Detailer - Bridge Engineer 2 (In-Training) position with our Bridge and Structures Office in Tumwater, WA. Structural Detailers play a crucial role on a bridge design team and are relied upon for consistent drafting production rates, the ability to work well in a team environment, and the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects. This unique position will support the Bridge Design Office Special Structures Design Unit and the Bridge Preservation Office Repair Group in their respective missions. The successful candidate will produce contract bridge plan sheets and repair details using computer aided drafting and design (CADD) software for floating bridges, movable bridges and special structures of intermediate size and complexity.
