Engineer 1 - Position Information $33.85- $47.84 (Non-exempt/overtime eligible)
Performs professional office and field civil engineering activities requiring the application of basic engineering principles and methods for the design of Public Works roads, stormwater, bridges, culverts, and other transportation projects. Duties involve technical and complex work in designing, estimating, and preparing specifications to deliver final contract bid documents. Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Word and Excel software applications required.
Please note: If hired as an Engineer 1 the opportunity to automatically progress into an Engineer 2 is upon receipt of their Professional Engineering (PE) License.
Engineer 2 - Position Information $78,287.04-$110,617.56 (Exempt)
QUALIFICATIONS FOR PERFORMANCE OF THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Required Education and Experience for all Positions
- Registered as an Engineer in Training (EIT)*; or
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering** field obtained by June 30, 2024; or
- Equivalent four years related civil engineering* experience working under the direct supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
Preferred Experience
- Experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with WWHM Windows and Western Washington Hydrology Model software program.
**"Engineering" means the "practice of engineering" as defined in RCW 18.43.020.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,480.00 - $110,617.56. This position offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a pension retirement, and other voluntary benefits.
