Instrumentation and Controls Engineer – Nuclear / Uranium Enrichment

Webuild (www.webuildstaffing.com)  is currently seeking a highly qualified Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to take on a leadership role in the design, development, commissioning/ integration of critical control systems for a proprietary uranium enrichment process within a revolutionary nuclear, pilot plant environment.

Our ideal candidate for this role, would have a minimum of 8+ years of experience specializing design and implementation of control systems for gas handling systems and mechanical subsystems, ensuring the completion of key deliverables for the seamless integration into a revolutionary Pilot Plant’s master control system. Must have experience in the planning and selection of control systems, procurement, prototyping, coordinating fabrication, construction / installation, commissioning and safe operations of a pilot and/or fully operational plant. Candidates that have extensive documentation management and PLC programming skills are preferred.     
As this is a lead Instrumentation and Controls role, the selected candidate will work within a 20-person team, interacting extensively with internal process, optical and safety teams to ensure effective communications and efficient operations. Providing valuable input for the development of additional control subsystems and maintaining regulatory compliance of the plant.

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline. Advanced Degrees preferred. Professional engineering registration desired, but not required. Active DOE / NRC-Q or Top-Secret Clearances Required. Must have excellent communication and collaboration skills, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
