Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Engineer 2 to serve as a Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) Support Engineer for the Geotechnical Office in Tumwater, WA. The Geotechnical Office plays a crucial role in supporting WSDOT’s mission to provide a safe and sustainable multimodal transportation system. This involves ensuring that the soil and rock beneath the ground surface can effectively support the loads and conditions placed on it. In this context, the position is designed to provide independent support to Geotechnical Engineers and Engineering Geologists. This support includes tasks such as preparing and editing engineering drawings, logs of test borings, laboratory testing reports, and conducting research to assemble additional information for inclusion in Geotechnical Design Reports.
