As the Engineering Manager, you will lead the team of employees responsible for implementation of the Department’s Capital Improvement Program and review of projects submitted by the Development Community.

The Engineering Manager is an advanced level supervisory management Engineer position with significant field and administrative responsibilities for planning and delivering program services, responding to internal and external customers, and supervising personnel.

The selected Engineer candidate for Engineering Manager will manage, supervise, and participate in a wide range of projects and activities in addition to representing the Public Utilities Department to outside agencies and customers.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL PREPARATION:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or a closely related field.
Master’s degree preferred.

SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES:
Requires a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is in compliance with the City Driving Standards.
A Professional Engineer license is also required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
In addition to satisfying the vocational/education standards, this class requires a minimum of ten years of related, full-time equivalent experience.
