Satellite Power Systems Engineer

Join our dynamic team as a Systems Engineer specializing in cutting-edge Satellite Power Systems. As a key player, you will contribute to defining and overseeing the architecture of satellite power systems, aligning them with mission objectives. Your role will involve requirement flow-down, FDIR analysis, and the definition of test matrices, collaborating closely with suppliers. Lead design reviews throughout the program life cycle and be at the forefront of groundbreaking projects in satellite technology.
Key Qualifications:
In-depth knowledge of Satellite Power Distribution Systems, covering power generation, storage, distribution, and regulation.
Ability to make strategic system trade-offs, balancing factors like mass versus efficiency.
Proficient in simulating power systems to ensure stability under varying conditions.
Strong understanding of EMC (Electromagnetic Compliance) with the ability to perform compliance analysis.
Experience troubleshooting non-compliance issues related to EMI (Electromagnetic Interference).
Skilled in architecting power systems to prevent single-point failures, including familiarity with FMECA (Failure Mode and Criticality Analysis).
Capability to perform power budgets for optimal system performance under worst-case conditions.
Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including thermal engineers, electronic packaging engineers, and vibration engineers.
Analytical estimation of the reliability of power systems, with knowledge of MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure).
Understanding the impact of environmental radiation on satellite power systems.
Proficient in writing the power-related sections of Requests for Proposals and proposals.
