Position: Site General Manager

On-Site Position: Williamsport, PA

Spartronics is seeking a Site General Manager to lead the Operations of our Williamsport, PA location. This location is the largest facility for our Aerospace & Defense customers. The Site General Manager will report to our Global VP of Operations.

Purpose of Position: This position is responsible for driving the Site's overall operational performance and ensures all business objectives and financial targets are met.  The Site General Manager leads the Site Functional Team to include Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Finance, Human Resources and Customer Management.   Your contributions will help us continue our journey towards Winning as One: One company. What a Day Looks Like:

• Directs the financial and organizational performance of the site; leads and directs Site Leadership Team and staff.
• Effectively communicates and collaborates with Executives and other Site Managers to establish and execute integrated initiatives throughout the organization.
• Creates and executes annual operating plan for the Site and ensures month over month performance targets identified in operating plan are achieved.
• Ensures department goals, objectives and policy decisions are in line with the organization’s strategy. 
• Effectively communicates objectives, initiates countermeasure when necessary, and provides timely and appropriate recognition to team members demonstrating ideal behaviors.
• In collaboration with Human Resources, recruits, develops, and retains a high performing and high achieving team.
• Ensures the development of talent at Site through assignments, job rotations, promotions to build bench strength and succession planning. 
• Promotes and supports a high-performance culture within Site Functional Teams. 
• Embraces and demonstrates Spartronics core values of unity, accountability, collaboration, and transparency daily.
• Partners with Site HR business partner to develop and execute resourcing strategies for both professional and hourly resource requirements that are aligned with operating plan.
• Implements and drives Operational best practices including Lean Six-Sigma, Gemba walks, visual factory, daily metrics reviews and other related performance improvement programs.
• Incorporates organizational strategy and plans for operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control policies and programs across all Departments' processes.
• Implements long-term plans for facilities, equipment, materials, technology, and workforce resources to maintain Site      capacity and processes.
• Execute Voice of Customer improvement initiatives at the facility level and ensure Customer satisfaction targets are being met.
• Develop and implement processes and procedures to continually improve quality, reduce Customer complaints, and improve overall Customer satisfaction.
• Partners with Site HR business partner to develop and execute resourcing strategies for both Professional and Hourly resource requirements at Site.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain or other applicable field or additional 10 Years experience in lieu of degree.
• 7+ years of manufacturing operational experience
• 5+ Lean/Six Sigma or other continuous improvement experience.
• Ability to build effective teams.
