Job Description:

The position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties of planning, design, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facilities equipment and services which includes the following but is not limited to; Toxic gas and fire alarm monitoring, process gas distribution, HVAC systems, RO/DI water systems, boilers, chillers, electrical distribution, UPS, emergency generators, and chemical waste disposal and neutralization, to achieve the site’s operational goals and objectives.

 

Essential Job Functions include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain and update facilities in support of manufacturing operations.
  • Maintain and update toxic gas monitoring systems (TGMS).
  • Maintain and update facility monitoring and building automation software.
  • Make current and historical data available to all stakeholders for TGMS, bulk gases, and other relevant facilities equipment.
  • Determining facility and equipment specifications.
  • Implement required facility services for new or updated process equipment.
  • Assist with process equipment upgrades.
  • Assist with equipment safety control development and maintenance.
  • Carry out risk assessments, develop corrective actions, and carry out implementation plans.
  • Assist with laser safety process improvements and other safety initiatives as needed.
  • Develop and implement appropriate maintenance procedures for process equipment.
  • Carry out corrective actions and process improvements for production equipment and systems.
  • Maintain records for process equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Coordinate and oversee contractors performing maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and health and safety standards.
  • Communicate facility equipment status to all relevant personnel.
  • Provide training on facilities equipment and services where needed.

 

Physical Activities:

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb ladder and step ladder
  • Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions
  • Must be capable of performing duties in a cleanroom garment
  • Bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, etc., as the job may require
  • Ability to obtain certification and wear respiratory protection

 

Qualifications

 

U.S. Person

 

 

 

Experience: 10 + Years experience in similar position

 

Education: BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering with technical training in semiconductor equipment/ facility maintenance

 

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Gas handling and distribution systems
  • Toxic gas monitoring systems
  • Building automation systems and software
  • Semiconductor process tools and associated facilities
  • Clean room facilities and services
  • Process engineering
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and code requirements, including SEMI, NFPA, IBC, and IFC.
  • Project management
  • AutoCAD
  • MS Office
  • Good verbal and written communication

 

Other:

  • Must be able to work flexible hours. 
  • On-call 24 hours
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Driver license required.
  • Knowledge of CAD
  • Knowledge of the building process and construction principles.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

 

Organizational Relationships

Direct Reports: The position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
