Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Geodetic Survey Crew Technician in Tumwater, WA. This position serves as an instrument operator and survey party member providing geodetic, photogrammetric, bathymetric, LiDAR, specialty control, mapping, and monitoring surveys statewide. The top candidate will act as a representative and liaison for the Headquarters (HQ) Survey & Mapping office and its customers, both internal and external to WSDOT. The HQ Survey & Mapping office is responsible for the development and maintenance of the statewide geodetic framework/survey control that supports WSDOT project delivery and all location-oriented efforts on State highways and more. It also provides monitoring and field data collection in response to emergency events related to the State roadway infrastructure.
