What to Expect:

We are currently seeking an accomplished Electrical Engineer to play a pivotal role in constructing our comprehensive decarbonization solution for freight rail. As a Senior Electrical System Engineer, you will spearhead the electrical planning, design, and development of our solutions, which include a robotic arm, a battery car, and the world's fastest charging station.

What You'll Do:

• Conceptual Planning:

  • Lead the planning of solutions from schematics to equipment sourcing.

• EMS Planning and Sourcing:

  • Power plans of microgrids that include solar energy , grid supply and energy storage systems .

• Execution:

  • Oversee the engineering team in crafting the solutions.

• First Principles:

  • Understanding high power DC circuits. 

• Cost Analysis:

  • Lead electrical cost analysis for manufacturing equipment.

• Global Collaboration:

  • Coordinate and lead discussions with leading battery companies and power conversion equipment tech.

• Regulatory Compliance:

  • Collaborate with local engineering teams and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to local electrical codes

• Process Understanding:

  • Establish relationships with mechanical engineers and rail conductors to tailor solutions to their specific needs.

What You'll Bring:

• Fast learner and a can do spirit

• Excellent team and person-to-person communication skills

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 6+ years of relevant experience.

• Understanding of electrical system issues (harmonics, voltage sag, power factor).

• Proficiency in 3D cad modeling.

• Hands-on experience with electrical systems configuration ( power measurement, power analysis, commissioning of industrial electrical equipment).

  • A plus - Experience with energy storage systems .
