Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Right of Way (ROW) & Survey Manager to join the Olympic Region (OR) Plans & Design Support Office. This role will provide direction and supervision to survey personnel performing advanced engineering work in the collection and analysis of ROW control, monumentation, property boundaries, topographical survey, and other related survey work. While providing leadership, management and oversight to the ROW and Survey Office, the Right of Way & Survey Manager ensures the best technical standards and cost-effective designed are incorporated into the WSDOT Right of Way Plans, and Contract Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) packages. This position supports the agency’s mission by ensuring that OR personnel follow departmental policies and State laws governing land surveying and survey monument protection while helping to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective transportation projects. They also work closely with the Region’s Real Estate Services Office and support the acquisition of property rights needed for transportation projects by creating and maintaining right of way plans which follow agency standards.
