Our Vision: “To drive Bermuda to the forefront of design and engineering on a global stage, bringing the latest technological advances and international standards to every project we undertake.” Due to growth, we are inviting applications for a newly created role of Senior Mechanical Engineer. This position reports directly to the Directors and will be responsible for leading the Mechanical Engineering division. The role will have responsibility for engineering design and drafting of HVAC and plumbing systems alongside building and coordinating with Onsite’s diverse team based on island.

  • Directly managing the company’s Mechanical Engineering department and junior engineer(s), including recruitment, retention, development and reporting. - Mechanical Engineering design and drafting for hotel, commercial and residential HVAC and plumbing systems. - Project and client management alongside business development, including determining new industries and specialties for growth initiatives. - Company supported professional development to stay ahead of advances in codes, technology and drafting tools. - Billing and general administrative responsibilities, including timesheets and invoicing.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering. - A professional registration (P.Eng, C.Eng or equivalent). - A minimum of five (5) years relevant professional work experience gained in engineering design in the construction industry. - Advanced working knowledge of drafting tools including Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, engineering calculation programs (heat load modeling, psychometrics etc.) and Microsoft Office. - Excellent professional references, coupled with an innate ability to forge positive long-term relationships.
