Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Transportation Operations Division is currently seeking a Transportation Technical Engineer to serve as the Virtual Coordination Center (VCC) Project Support Engineer in Olympia, WA. The VCC is a multimodal, integrated corridor management tool that enables stakeholders to share common working environments in a virtual platform that supports incident response, coordinated mobility management, and joint public information amongst agency partners. This project position works as a liaison to the Headquarters VCC leadership to assist with the expansion of the VCC platform to other agencies in the King County area. The incumbent will recommend strategies and tools to address overall system impacts and improvements resulting from major incidents in the central Puget Sound region and leverage technical expertise and strong problem-solving skills to ensure the smooth functioning and operation of the VCC.
