Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Transportation Planning Specialist 4 to serve as the Community Transportation Planner in Spokane, WA. The top candidate will serve as the division’s public transportation contract manager for operating grants (i.e., operations, planning, and mobility management projects) for Eastern Region, which includes Ferry, Stevens, Pend Oreille, Spokane, Whitman, Garfield, Columbia, and Asotin counties. The Planner provides customer service, technical assistance, and training to transit agencies, nonprofit community transportation providers, and tribal transportation providers. This position helps ensure that grantees are meeting state and federal requirements for their WSDOT’s federally funded and state-funded contracts.
