Director of Operations for Cascadia High-Speed Rail & I-5 Program (WMS Band 4)Seattle, WA – Northwest Region $118,872 - $152,436 AnnuallyWashington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Director of Operation for the Cascadia High-Speed Rail and I-5 Program in Seattle, WA. The Urban Mobility, Access, & Megaprograms (UMAM) mission is to push the envelope, build partnerships and steward investment to plan, finance, design, construct, and operate multimodal corridors and integrated systems. This position will serve as the Director of Operations for the Cascadia High-Speed (HSR) Rail and I-5 Program (the Program), is necessary to comply with legislative direction provided in the 2023-2025 transportation budget proviso. This position will support a complex and long-term program to deliver evaluation studies, plans, financing, environmental reviews, design, construction and operation of major multimodal corridor projects and integrated mobility systems related to significant efforts to maximize transportation system performance including: the I-5 Program which spans from the Canadian border to the Oregon border and Cascadia HSR, formerly Ultra-High-Speed Ground Transportation (UHSGT), which spans from Portland, Oregon to Vancouver, B.C. and is being conducted in partnership with the BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (BC MoTI), Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), and Oregon Metro. The program will also consider the effects and interaction with air mobility planning in the region. The Program will use a centralized Program Management Office (PMO) and General Engineering Consultant (GEC) contracting and resources to set-up, organize, and direct this complex program.
