Job Title: Senior Accounting Analyst Location: Holland, MI Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following: Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor budget performance, investigate variances, and communicate findings to management. Assist in the development of financial models to support business planning. Cost Accounting: Oversee cost accounting functions, ensuring accurate allocation and reporting of manufacturing costs. Analyze production costs and identify areas for cost savings and process improvements. Month-end Close: Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data. Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner. Compliance: Stay abreast of accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance. Support external audits and provide necessary documentation. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather relevant financial data and ensure alignment with business objectives. Minimum Skills and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA designation preferred. 5-7+ years of experience in accounting and financial analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Proficient in accounting software and advanced Excel skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
