Scope
 

Pillar Innovations is now accepting applications for a full-time Project Manager.  As a Project Manager, the general role is to coordinate and accomplish the necessary tasks and requirements in a dedicated, organized, and efficient manner.  Coordination with internal groups will include Engineering, Fabrication, Installation, Field Services, Accounting, Purchasing, Shipping & Receiving, Quality Control, etc. The position must be detail-oriented and performance-driven to help synchronize all project elements to ensure successful completion.

 

The Project Manager will possess an understanding of engineering principles and a strong understanding of project management and project accounting principles. This position must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include travel and overtime as needed. Overnight travel is typically on an infrequent basis.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Senior Project Manager in the execution of the project management for assigned projects
  • Create and review project schedules and contribute ideas to the Engineering Team for cost savings and effectiveness
  • Maintain and update schedules according to project needs, design, and scope
  • Track and report project status updates to Senior Project Manager
  • Participate in strategic planning phases to ensure project completion
  • Coordinate change orders, work orders, job numbers, billing processes, etc., with accounting
  • Assist with setting prices and quoting jobs to include material sales and project needs
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining budgets for assigned projects
  • Facilitate communications between internal groups and outside vendors, subcontractors, and customers
  • Help problem-solve issues and present value-added input and solutions
  • Communicate project progress, schedule, changes in scope, etc., to customers regularly
  • Maintain positive and effective vendor and client relationships including proactively mitigating any project issues that arise
  • Consult with technicians, engineers, contractors, etc., to gather information to support operations and efficiencies
  • Organize, file, and maintain current project documents
  • Ensure compliance and provide quality control oversight
  • Coordinate and execute daily tasks including inventory, tooling, equipment supply, reviewing and approving invoices and material sales orders, etc.
  • Schedule and confirm material and equipment deliveries
  • Determine staffing and equipment needs and oversee scheduling and asset management
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Provide feedback for performance reviews as needed

Qualifications

 

  • 5+ years of project management preferred with a preference given to those with Engineering & Automation experience
  • 1+ years’ experience with project accounting and scheduling preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Working knowledge and experience in engineering and automation products, market, and industry
  • Possesses a high level of organization skills with a focus on detail-orientation
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience with direct customer relations skills preferred
  • Possesses exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and in team environments
  • Excels in a high-paced work environment
  • Possess strong communication skills both oral and written with the ability to maintain professionalism
  • Able to compute basic math calculations and take measurements
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
  • Ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects effectively
  • Adaptable and composed under pressure
  • Proactive, resourceful, and highly motivated
  • Familiar with basic office procedures

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid and appropriate state driver’s license prior to employment
  • This position requires the completion of a thorough background and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
