The City of Fairmont is looking for an Engineering Tech I to work in our Engineering Dept.   This is a full-time, non-exempt position that reports to the Civil Engineer.  This position performs the implementation and technical work on engineering, surveying, planning, construction, and related programs and projects.

Qualifications for this position require a valid MN driver’s license and a two-year degree in a construction or engineering-related field.  Other conditions of employment include completion of the MnDOT Technical Certifications and U of M Erosion and Stormwater Construction Site Management. These must be completed within the first two years of employment. The successful candidate’s employment will comply with the stipulations outlined in the agreement between the AFSCME contract and the City of Fairmont.
