Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Traffic Office is currently seeking two engineering professionals who have a passion for creative and innovative solutions for the state-highway transportation system. We are looking for mid-level engineers who want to dive into all elements of traffic design and traffic operations. We are seeking to fill two Traffic Design Engineer positions. The Traffic Design Engineers will primarily assist in the development and management of PS&E’s, in preparation for Signing, Illumination, Traffic Signal, and/or Intelligent Transportation System contracts. These positions may occasionally assist the Traffic Safety Operations and Transportation System Management and Operations (TSMO) groups by conducting reviews of signing, conducting field visits, and data analysis. Utilizing your traffic design knowledge, you will contribute to enhancing safety and mobility on the state highway network.
