Job Description:

Sterilization Technician

Must have:

  • Ability to pass background and drug screen.
  • Experience operating 3M Steri-Vac Sterilizers (GSX series, 8XL/5XL) preferred.

Summary:

We are currently looking for a vigilant and meticulous sterilization technician who will perform the operational functions of the EO Sterilizers in accordance with customer work orders. To be a successful sterilization technician, you should demonstrate good critical thinking and judgment, and great attention to detail.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Completes work orders based on customer order requests/protocols.
  • Performs testing of biological indicators and records results.
  • A high level of communication skills when interfacing with customers.
  • Performs inventory and reordering from suppliers.
  • Receives both supplier and customer products.
  • Creates shipping documents when required.
  • Maintains equipment and facility following daily cleaning procedures.
  • Maintains documentation files and records.
  • Interprets protocols and executes the PQ portion of a product validation process.
  • Must be current with all regulations pertaining to EO sterilization.
  • Comply with Quality Management (QMS) procedures and company policies.

Education:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or any related technical field. (An AA degree in biology or a related field is a plus)

Experience:

  • Knowledge of QA/QC, document control, laboratory procedures, experimental and/or medical, and engineering/manufacturing design and development.
  • Previous experience at a healthcare company in central supply preferred.
  • Experience operating 3M Steri-Vac Sterilizers (GSX series, 8XL/5XL) preferred.

Competencies:

  • High degree of organization skills, clear and precise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with FDA and ISO regulations pertaining to controlled documents.
  • Administrative support, Microsoft Word, and Excel experience
