EBA Engineering, Inc. (EBA) is actively in search of a Structural/Bridge Engineer to join our team based in Laurel, Maryland. We're on the lookout for a dedicated professional who thrives on designing, analyzing, and inspecting transportation structures, encompassing bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and related infrastructure. If you're passionate about structural engineering and possess a background in utilizing structural analysis software such as Merlin-Dash, MDX, Con-Span, along with an EIT (Engineer in Training) certification or PE (Professional Engineer) license, we want to hear from you. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Structural/Bridge Engineer at EBA, you will be responsible for a range of tasks, including:

• Performing structural analysis and design for transportation structures such as bridges, retaining walls, box culverts, and pipes.
• Conducting load ratings for bridges, box culverts, and pipes.
• Preparing engineering calculations and developing design drawings.
• Reviewing drawings and reports to develop bridge design options, repair recommendations, and cost estimates.
• Conducting fieldwork, including site visits and bridge inspections, and preparing inspection reports.
• Ensuring structural engineering work complies with AASHTO, MDOT SHA, and project-specific standards and requirements.

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

• A bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a focus on structural engineering
• 1-7 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in steel and concrete design
• Proficiency in using MicroStation and AutoCAD for bridge projects
• Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD code requirements
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Experience using MicroStation and AutoCAD for bridge projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• U.S. citizenship or Green Card immigration resident status in the United States
