Bridge Engineer 4 (In-training)

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Bridge & Structures Office is currently seeking to fill a Bridge Engineer 4 position in Tumwater, WA. In this role, you will maintain the integrity of the bridge inventory corporate database. Responsibilities include Data integrity of the Washington State Bridge Inventory System (WSBIS) corporate database for both State and Local Agency bridges as federally mandated by Title 23 CFR Part 650, Subpart C – National Bridge Inspection Standards, 23 U.S.C. 144(d) – National Bridge Elements and Title 23 CFR Part 650, Subpart E – National Tunnel Inspection Standards. In addition, the successful candidate be responsible for the daily management of the BridgeWorks application used by state and local agency inspectors to update WSBIS data. This position has the unique opportunity to begin as an entry level structural design engineer and may be filled at the Bridge Engineer 1, 2, 3 or 4 level depending upon qualifications. There is an associated In-Training Plan that allows the successful candidate to automatically progress up to the Bridge Engineer 4 level by meeting outlined requirements.
