About the role:
P2 Mission Solutions has an immediate need for a degreed Electrical Engineer who will be responsible for the development of the first of a series of small, engine-driven, electrical power generators for the military. The candidate must be competent in traditional Electrical Engineering topics including power generation, power conditioning, & power management systems, & with the control strategies & electronics used to regulate stable power & connect in parallel to other generator units.

This will be a very hands-on technical position. The engineer will lead & participate in all
aspects of the physical development of the product including prototyping, testing, &
transitioning the product to production.

While programming & software may be involved in this product, this is not a software
engineering position. CAD design experience is helpful, but not a requirement.

This engineer will join a team of Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, & Aerospace Engineers in a small but growing company where total project ownership is typical. Our working atmosphere is highly collaborative & fosters creativity & flexibility. This new generator will be the first of a new line of power products that we are creating to expand our business so there will be room for professional growth.

Key responsibilities:
● Design of electrical circuits & develop electrical systems and components.
● Conduct electrical system analysis & simulations to ensure functionality & efficiency.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Electrical Engineers, Mechanical
Engineers, Software Engineers, & Teaming Partners to deliver integrated solutions.
● Create & review electrical schematics, drawings, & specifications.
● Select & source electrical components & materials for projects.
● Project management.
● Oversee the assembly, installation, & testing of electrical systems.

Minimum Qualifications:
● We have programs & systems that are export-controlled & US citizenship is required.
● Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (Master's degree
preferred).
● A Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
● 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering (entry-level candidates are welcome
to apply).
● Strong knowledge of electrical codes & standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE).
● Experience with electrical simulation & analysis tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink).
● Excellent problem-solving & analytical skills.
● Strong communication & teamwork abilities coupled with project management skills
- experience in MS Project or equal.
● Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
● Proficiency in electrical design software desired (e.g., CREO, SolidWorks Electrical,
Altium Designer, AutoCAD).
