SUMMARY: Title and responsibilities will be determined in a progressive manner based on skill and expertise within the same job group. Builds test fixtures/setups and assist in testing in Engineering Test. Maintains and repairs equipment as capable. Embraces and executes the Company Core Values. Actively supports the Company’s vision and goals.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following; other duties will be assigned in a progressive manner.

  • Supports implementation of technical solutions to meet program milestones

  • Broad scope of responsibilities includes components and systems

  • Responsible for working cohesively with a group of engineers responsible for similar products on other applications, actively engaging in team issue resolution

  • Capable of managing very broad or numerous projects

  • Interfaces with suppliers

  • Demonstrates that designs meet requirements through analysis, development and validation processes.

  • Analyzes design through design failure modes effects analysis (DFMEA)

  • Performance Measures:

    • Performance to Project/Product Plan

    • Performance to Budget

    • Improvements in Engineering Productivity

    • Quality and value of applied engineering capabilities (as measured by business units)

  • Support of other strategic initiatives as defined.

  • Building test fixtures/setups

  • Conducting testing

  • Maintain test equipment

  • Maintain lab

  • Build test equipment

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities, however all team members are expected to self supervise to ensure the Companies’ Continuous Improvement philosophy and Core Values are maintained.
 
QUALITY RESPONSIBILITIES: In daily work, a team member is responsible to maintain or exceed the degree of excellence requested by the internal and external customers of this department. This includes following

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively with customers and other team members.
