Job Description:

Legend Brands is hiring for a Mechanical Engineer. Position is located in our beautiful Northwest Washington location. We are seeking a candidate with injection mold robotics and plastic molding design experience.

Our Mechanical Engineers provide technical and conceptual design expertise to support the development of new products. This position will be responsible for the design of new components and systems, prototyping designs, theoretical analysis, and preparing CAD drawings; as well as supporting other departments in regard to new product development.

You will perform mechanical engineering research, design, development, and evaluations to support new product development, using SolidWorks to perform design and drafting tasks. You are a member of our team that will be responsible for designing diverse systems, including structural designs and robotics.

We work in step with internal and external groups to ensure projects are completed on time, participate in design reviews and collaborate with production and manufacturing engineering teams to improve the ability to manufacture our designs. We offer you the ability to participate in process improvement initiatives and design reviews within our department, learn new skills, and take ownership of your assigned tasks.

Required skills:
  • Experience with parts design for injection molding.
  • Expertise with plastic molding.
  • Experience with the integration of software into mechanical systems.
  • Experience with design for automated manufacturing and robotics.
  • Experience with retail products.
  • Experience in refrigeration system (air conditioning, de-humidification, or air movement) design.

Education and/or Experience: a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field or a combination of education and experience with injection mold robotics and plastic molding design experience.
