Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Public Transportation Division is seeking two candidates with a passion for sustainable transportation! These Transportation Engineer 4 in training positions will provide technical expertise and engineering assistance for more than $200 million in public transportation capital improvement projects. The successful candidates will be helping the state improve the safety, efficiency, and environmental impact of transit facilities like transit centers, bus shelters, maintenance facilities, and more. These positions rely on deep collaboration with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment between WSDOT and its grantees regarding activities in scoping, planning, designing, and construction of conventional and green transportation projects. Our ideal candidates also have a keen interest in learning new things and a desire to teach and advise others in sustainability and green technology as they apply to transportation projects.
