Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking two engineering professionals to serve as Consultant Management Engineers in Vancouver, WA. In these roles, you will support the Consultant Management Project Engineer in providing the necessary leadership and strategic planning needed to develop projects, coordinate with stakeholders, public, Region and HQ Divisions and Programs. These positions will lead a group of diverse technical experts while utilizing, implementing, and connecting their work to WSDOT’s Strategic Plan (Vision, Mission, and Values) to guide and assist with the delivery of the Southwest Region design and construction projects.
 
As managers who serve as liaisons between consultant teams and WSDOT for the delivery of fish passage, safety, and preservation projects, these positions contribute to the WSDOT mission of providing safe, reliable, and cost-effective transportation options. This is accomplished by supporting consultant procurement and managing consultant task orders and agreements, acting as a liaison, and ensuring consultant deliverables and performance, such as design documentation, construction inspection and administration, plans, specials, and estimates, are in compliance with WSDOT policies, procedures, and standards. The Consultant Management Engineers will ensure that community needs and preferences are met, while leading with a focus on customer service for both internal and external customers.
