CAD Applications Technician (BE3) In-Training

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Computer Aided Drafting Applications Technician – Bridge Engineer 3 (In-Training) to join our Bridge and Structures Office. In this role, you will collaborate with the CAD Applications Engineer to develop, support, and customize MicroStation CONNECT and OpenBridge Modeler platforms. Additionally, you will contribute to the training of structural detailers and engineers within the office and provide basic project and user support tasks. Your responsibilities will include converting standard details to MicroStation CONNECT format, maintaining these standards, and creating clear and accurate structural detail sheets in adherence to CAD standards. By customizing CAD products and supporting detailing staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency of construction contract document production for transportation projects, aligning with WSDOT's mission of providing safe, reliable, and cost-effective transportation options.
